Boeing SOPs sagen mit, aber da die Hand eh am Gas bleibt wird da manuell nachjustier und bei Bedarf gehandelt. Aber das System sollte man nicht ausschalten

ZitatCaptains,
As Johnny Carson used to say, ".....aaaaaaaand we're back!"
I am officially back to work as of this past Monday- and it has taken a few days to get caught up on the administrivia of PMDG so that I could get back to all of you with some updates on the release plan for the SP1 and 300ER.
We anticipate building the RTM (Release To Market) version of the PMDG 777-200LR/F SP1 and the PMDG 777-300ER Expansion Package during the next 24-36hrs.
We will then push those to our testers- and give them a few days to make certain we haven't broken anything in our last round of fixes and tweaks- and then we will push them out to you!
The window for release is looking like 15JUL14-18JUL14 if all goes according to plan.
I will publish a master change list for you shortly- as I have to compile it from the hundreds of sub-versions that we have built during the SP1 phase.
Just a reminder: the SP1 update is completely free for all licensed customers.
The 300ER is a for-purchase expansion (similar to how we did the 600/700 NGX) and we will set pricing shortly...
Thank you for your patience - the past couple of weeks have actually served the product well. While I was out of circulation for the better part of 3 weeks, the rest of the team was working and they added lots of polish and cleanup to the bird.

Hello Captains,
unfortunately we came across some more major (and of course unexpected!) bugs in our latest release to the Beta Testers (who by the way work really hard to provided the best feedback to us in order to deliver the most detailed simulation we can!).
This means, that we will have to postpone our latest release ambitions for just a little bit longer. We at PMDG want to make sure, that we provide the best Aircraft we can, and therefore want to make absolutely sure she is perfect when we release her.
But for now, you can enjoy some of these beautiful beta screens (Teaser Bilderchen hier) or just buy another product (Schleichwerbung für die 747v2 hier).

Sorry to play with your feelings

ZitatCaptains-
This is going to be short because I want to make sure we give you ONLY the piece of information you need most here:
RELEASE PLAN FOR SP1 and 300ER
We currently believe that we are on track to release the free Serice Pack 1 update to the PMDG 777-200LR/F at some point late in the day (US EDT) on Friday. We can confirm that the PMDG 777-300ER will release concurrently with the SP1 update referenced in the previous sentence.
SCHEDULE IS MODERATELY LIKELY TO CHANGE SLIGHTLY
We are currently juggling a couple of technical issues behind the scenes that we want to resolve before we push these two items to release. This being the case, please understand that we might possibly delay the release by a few days if we decide it is necessary to do so.
I recognize that this will ignite endless debate- but as usual- if we decide it is necessary, that means it probably is, and as such we will do the right thing be holding it for a few days to resolve the issues that nag at us.
I should also point out that the items I am referencing above are not all in the product itself. The product itself is basically locked down now and the testing teams are flying it hard to make sure nothing bad is lurking in there that we need to know about. We are not expecting them to find anything that would significantly delay the release plan.
Okay- so... To summarize for those who have already forgotten what I just wrote: "Release looks good for Friday- but we have a couple of minor items that might cause us to shift slightly... stay tuned here for more information!"
Thanks, all... We are quite glad to have this update finished...
Oh- Ryan wanted me to give you this link. I said no- but he insisted... He really is constantly lobbying on your behalf...

This will give you some interesting reading for sure. I will follow through with the master change list on Thursday, I hope

I'm putting this up tonight so that (hopefully) people read it before the release tomorrow:
1. You need to run the OC before you install the update so that it
backs up your livery entries. Run it again after you install and it'll
restore them.2. Updates are being pushed shortly to every 777
livery in the OC - these are required to get the full benefit of the new
options and features. Make sure you install all the ones it asks you
to.3. You *MUST* uninstall any
PMDG-made NGX or J41 liveries you have installed before you attempt to
use the new OC Livery Downloader modules for these products. The old
liveries from the website are not compatible with the OC's update
process and you will have trouble if they stay there. Many of the
liveries have been updated as well and you won't get notifications of
those updates with the old website versions installed.4. Old
panel states and saved flights made with the RTM version of the airplane
are *NOT* compatible with SP1. Delete them all - there are new panel
states included that you can use to make your own new ones.5. If
you want to do a clean install, you can, but it is not necessary at
all. Here is the procedure though if you'd like to start over totally
fresh:=========
To accomplish a full removal and clean install of the PMDG 777-200LR/F, follow these steps:
- Uninstall the product from Control Panel\Programs & Features.
- Manually delete the PMDG 777-200LR and PMDG 777F folders in FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes.
- Manually delete the FSX\PMDG\PMDG 777X folder.
- Manually delete the PMDG 777-200LR and PMDG 777F folders in
C:\Users\(Your Windows
Username)\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\SimObjects
You may need to enable the Windows folder option "Show hidden files and folders" to see this location.- Manually delete the PMDG_777X_3.ini file in the FSX/GAUGES folder.
- Reinstall from your RTM installer.
- Install SP1.
- Install the 300ER if you choose to purchase it.
6. After you install SP1 - *PLEASE* read the new Introduction and Use
manual. We spent a ton of time updating this and explaining the new
stuff. There are SP1 and 300ER Supplements near the end of the document
and all of the PMDG-written manuals now have a clickable table of
contents at the start so that you can more easily find things. If you
only read one thing in the manual, go to page 15 - it contains the stuff
that we consider to be crucial information. Thanks everyone and we hope you enjoy the update and 300ER tomorrow!
