A KLM McDonnell Douglas MD-11, registration PH-KCD performing flight KL-605 from Amsterdam (Netherlands) to San Francisco,CA (USA), was enroute just south of the main Shetland Island,SC (UK) about one hour into the flight, when the crew descended the aeroplane, entered a holding for about 50 minutes and subsequently decided to return to Amsterdam, where the aircraft landed safely 3 hours after departure.

A replacement MD-11 registration PH-KCA reached San Francisco with a delay of 6 hours.

A source within KLM told The Aviation Herald, that the airplane had run out of water causing lavatories to fail.

Absolut richtige Entscheidung, man stelle sich mal vor eine vollbesetzte Maschine und man kann 7 Stunden oder so nicht auf Toilette. :wacko:

HAt KLM den auch Behindertentoiletten? Alles drunter ist für N ja nicht akzeptabel

Ich denke aber trotzdem, dass er im Ernstfall auch auf normale WC's zurückgreift

Nee, auf Flügen nehme ich normale Sitze, das IFES aufm Klo is meistens kaputt, und wenns mal läuft sind die Sexszenen meist grottig..... :hehe:

Schade nur dass die Klos in Fklugzeugen auch ohne Wasser nutzbar sind. :boss: Nur Haendewaschen is dann schlecht. Kaffeekochen ist dann auch nicht. Daran wirds wohl eher liegen :hehe: Abgesehen davon wuerde ich das Flugzeugwasser nie trinken, auch wenn die Tanks gereinigt werden
